ABOUT ME

I was never someone who thought about being pregnant or giving birth, although I always knew I wanted to be a mum. I was therefore rather surprised (although in retrospect not surprised at all) when I came across Freebirth and was magnetised towards it at about 8 weeks pregnant. I knew it was considered ‘radical’, yet in my bones, it felt so normal.

I went on quite the journey from that point onwards. I engulfed a tonne of information in the first trimester - I would say my desire for knowledge was rather insatiable. It became very clear that home was the only place I would give birth. It also became clear that I had some old subconscious programs running in the background, keeping me stuck in painful loops. I recognised the feeling immediately: Fear. But was it mine?

There were very few stones left unturned as I picked away at my subconscious; what did it mean to be fully responsible for my choices? What did safety mean to me? What could I control? Did I trust my body? What was I actually afraid of?

My wild pregnancy and freebirth journey required me to get very clear on my values, my truth and my intuitive knowing. Coupled with my breathwork, yoga and coaching background, I now have a blueprint for the specific ‘work’ that can be done while pregnant.

I want to show woman that its possible to clear our minds of the fearful nonsense we have been fed and choose the birth our conscious mind desires. I want woman to know that we can give birth at home. We can be surrounded by love, comfort, familiar smells and faces. We can trust our bodies. We can trust our babies.

It is all there for the choosing.
